Whether you are looking for a new driveway, walkway, patio or steps, Makowski Construction knows exactly how to make your next concrete addition look great. We have a crew of veteran concrete finishers and laborers that will assure you a quality concrete job at an affordable price.

Their are many different options when it comes to your concrete finish. You dont always have to go with the traditional picture frame concrete finish. We also specialize in exposed aggregate, dyed concrete, stamped concrete, or a commercial broom for your business.

Examples of Finished Concrete

Exposed Aggregate

Exposed aggregate concrete can almost be compared to a piece of granite or marble transformed by polishing: A plain, unremarkable surface has been stripped away to reveal the exceptional beauty lying beneath. In the case of concrete, that beauty is in the form of decorative aggregate concrete, either natural or manufactured.

The decorative process of exposing aggregate concrete has been around since the early 1900s, well before pattern stamping, stenciling, and decorative overlays became trendy. But this method is far from being ready for retirement. An exposed aggregate concrete finish offers numerous advantages. Makowski Construction is always finding creative ways to take exposed aggregate to a new level.

Dyed Concrete

The combination of chemical stains and concrete dyes is a perfect mix for a beautiful concrete finish. Although concrete stains have received much applause for their amazing color transformations, concrete dyes deserve equal kudos. These underrated coloring agents can achieve vibrant tones simply not possible with stains alone.

The nice thing about working with concrete dyes is that you can mix them at the jobsite to obtain your desired color. Concrete dyes are often used in conjunction with acid stains to produce a variegated look and, in most cases, complement the already stained floor.

Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete, commonly referred to as patterned concrete or imprinted concrete, is concrete that is designed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile and even wood.

Stamped concrete can also be blended with other decorative concrete elements such as exposed aggregate finishes and acid-etch staining, along with a particular pattern, such as running bond brick, hexagonal tile, worn rock or stone. Stamped concrete provides the perfect canvas for creating an economical replica of more expensive materials, and yet still maintaining a very natural, authentic look.
